  • Rotated in the fields of surgery including, pediatric surgery, vascular, hepatobiliary, minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, as well as rotations in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine.
  • Elected Chief resident for the academic year 2012- 2013.
  • Successfully completed my residency training and passed the certifying examination in December 2015.

  • Knowledge and preparedness of primary care physicians regarding Avian Flu. Conducted as part of community medicine required curriculum in 6th year medical school. Unpublished.
  • Ileocecal intussusception secondary to Diffuse B-cell lymphoma of the cecum: A case report. Presented as a research poster in University of Dammam poster day, publication pending.
  • Currently conducting a retrospective analysis of the changes in incidence and anatomic location of colon cancers over the past 10 years.

 

Recently joined the Colorectal surgery fellowship program of the SCHS.

Future prospective

  • My objective is to obtain a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery to further extend my experience and allow me to perform advanced Colorectal and complex anal procedures with confidence and safety.
  • I also have great enthusiasm in the fields of research with a firm belief that research is the cornerstone of medical advancement.
