US-guided fine needle aspiration vs. coarse needle biopsy of thyroid nodules Conclusion: no significant difference in diagnostic accuracy of thyroid nodules.
Mortality vs. consultant presence for laparotomies (Performed out of hours). Conclusion: Consultant is present for significantly fewer emergencies or out of hour’s cases however There wasno significant difference between presence and absence of the consultant in terms of mortality.
Adequacy of excision of non-melanotic skin cancers. Conclusion: incomplete excision rate 25% failed to meet literature standard 6-20%.

Study of Operative vs. Non Operative Approaches for the Treatment of Obstructive Jaundice. Non-operative management has become an alternative to surgery e.g. ERCP for CBD stones, balloon Dilatation for strictures or stenting. For inoperable obstructive jaundice surgery it is reserved for Unsuccessful non-operative approach.
